1 can (14 oz) unsweetened applesauce 1/4 cup unsweetened frozen apple juice concentrate 1/4 cup SPLENDA granular 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves 1/4 teaspoon salt
In heavy-bottomed saucepan, stir together applesauce, apple juice concentrate, splenda, cinnamon, cloves and salt. Boil over medium-low heat, partially covered, 40-50 minutes or until thick, stirring occasionally. Refigerate in closed container for up to 3 weeks.
Makes 1 1/3 cups.
This spread is wonderful on hot buttered toast, toasted english muffins or toasted bagels.
