Cooking Time- 1 1/2 minutes Serves- 12
2 cups all pourpose flour 1 tsp salt 1 tsp baking powder 1 tbsp lard or shortening 1/2-3/4 cup warm water (110 degrees)
In mixing bowl stir together flour, salt and baking powder. Cut in lard until mixture resembles corn meal. Add in 1/2 cup warm water and mix until dough can be gathered into a ball. Let dough rest 15 mins. On a lightly floured surface, roll ball to a 7 inch round. Trim uneven edges to make a round tortilla. Cook in ungreased skillet over medium heat about 1 1/2 minutes per side or until lightly browned.
