12 oz bran flakes cereal 3 cups sugar 5 cups flour 5 teaspoons baking soda 4 eggs, beaten 1 cup vegetable oil 1 quart buttermilk 2 teaspoons salt
In large bowl, mix together cereal, sugar, flour, baking soda, and salt. Add eggs, vegetable oil and buttermilk. Mix well and cover. Store in refrigerator. Do not freeze.
To bake: Fill greased muffin pans 2/3 full. Bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes. This mixture makes 1 gallon and can be kept in the fridge for up to 6 weeks. just take out and bake what you need at a time.
